I am just learning night time/astro photography and this is the second image I have posted on FM (the other being on the Sony Loxia site). I have watched quite a few videos (and an e-book I have only half read), and when it comes to light painting many people use what I think is a bit of a heavy hand. Granted, for some subjects that OK. For this one, I wanted a more muted approach. I have found that it's hard to have a light, even handed touch when rushing to do these in a single exposure of 15 sec or less.
This is Frank Davey's General Store, Garnet Ghost Town:
The moon (not well defined here) is half crescent.
Anyway - all comments that will help me improve are not only welcome, but solicited!
Thanks - Doug
PS - I also took this same shot with my A7RIII with the 25mm Loxia (once a manual lens junkie, always.. I guess). I got more even lighting on that one along with the Loxia "moonstar" effect.
