My initial reaction is that there is visible astigmatism towards the corners which look great starting at f/4. Negligible field curvature, low CA and very sharp at center starting at f/2.8.
Yes, on my tests I focused on the center and then looked at the corners, re-focused using then corners and then looked at the center wide open and saw hardly any difference in focus at all.
Yes, astigmatism in the corners, as per the MTF charts, but it's not that bad for non-point sources of light.
