Looks like a nice addition to the lineup. I too am interested to compare to the Loxia, which is close enough in price point and cheaper used - but I'm selling my Loxia anyway since the 16-25 GM covers my rare needs in this FL, and the Batis 18 fills in the "lightish lens for astro" gap.
(Of course, this lens could drop the Loxia used price even further and then what the heck might as well keep it  )
For someone who does a lot of landscape and astro, this could be an ideal travel/landscape/astro/camping lens.
