Thanks for the compliments, it has been many years and many hours looking for the lenses I own, I have regrets as well, one of them is not buying a 58mm 1.2 before the prices skyrocketed.
The 800mm 5.6 finally earned its keep, birds are scarce and scared here, finally one came to visit with excellent light. California is called the Golden state for a reason.
These lenses are best at closer distances, also the sun was hitting the front element with no noticeable adverse effect.
The Z6 must have VR off for the lens to work best. Focus on eye nailed with peaking highlights. Go check that eye at 100% on Flickr.
