I have the exact same experience with the A7R4 / 200-600. Lots of misses. The same A7R4 works great with the 600 F4 and other lenses. Additionally, the A9 + 200-600 works great with no issues at all. I agree, it seems unique to this body/lens combination and I hope Sony does something to address it via firmware.
