I've heard bits and pieces here and there on the AF, but I wish fellows that own one would actually point this stuff out. It's no slight on you to admit it. I'd have been very disappointed if I had bought a Z6 and ended up with the AF as displayed by Jared.
As he said, you can get great images (as you can with any current body) but it's the misses that's the issue.
I was well aware of the AF limitations when I bought my Z7 and it doesn't bother me at all (almost exactly what I expected). If you want a Nikon with top level AF then the Z's aren't the cameras to buy. Not everybody needs top level AF, however, and the Z's have other compelling features that make them a good choice for a lot of people, me included.
Oh, and your summary totally focussed on only AF. Did you notice and note that Jared says that he like the files better from the Z cameras than any other camera? Did you note that Jared says he like the viewfinder and the LCD way better with the Z cameras than the Sony cameras and that he thinks the Sony viewfinder and LCD in his word, "sucks." It is no slight on you to admit these limitations of other cameras and advantages of the Nikon Z cameras, but instead you post on the Nikon forum and only talk about the limitations of the Nikon and don't mention the advantages or the weaknesses of other systems.
