Eye-AF for Animals?
I have switched on Eye-AF for Animals in my A9.
My eyes aren't good enough anymore to see in the EVF whether Eye-AF is effective or not.
Looking at these images Eye-AF certainly doesn't seem to get in the way, it may actually be doing its Job IMHO!
Sony ILCE-9 + FE 400mm F2.8 GM OSS + 1.4X TC @ 560 mm, f/4.5, 1/640 s, ISO 4000.
Also these images are heavily cropped.
The A9 with 6,000x4,000 pixels seems to handle that well.
I used Focus Area Center or Flexible M.
These little birds move fast and erratically.
It's hard to predict where they will be next.
I either have my focus area on their head or I don't, handholding the FE 400/2.8 lens.
If I do the A9 focusses instantly and I get in this case an L burst of sharp images.
Of course, shooting would be doable but a bit harder with my A7r.2 or A7r.

Wonderful !
