A couple more abstract shots from a rainy day in SF. I was trying to get a feel for the Samyang 85/1.4 and 45/1.8.
I am not into portraits and (edit _don't_ need ultimate sharpness for this type of shooting but I'm happy with both lenses, I prefer the 85's rendering over the 85/1.8 FE, imo it's "gentler" (though not less sharp, and it's not just DoF either). I really love my Contax 90/2.8 and it's "crunch" but the Samyang is more versatile and I can even justify owning this lens for occasional use.
Plus it's light enough to carry around on multi-hour walks as one of multiple lenses - I could even just stash it in my jacket's front pocket when not using it. It's really fun for street/city type shooting actually, you can really isolate people when you find interest, or stop down and have great contrast/sharpness for abstract building/detail shots.
