A Taste of Yellowstone Winter Round 1

I was planning a 10 day vacation to CA the 2nd half of October. That trip also included a meet with our SoCal photogs, which I was looking forward to. Unfortunately that trip did not pan out. However the travel itch lingered and I spoke to my friend David Turko, who is an amazing N&W photographer and a very funny individual, with whom I had previously visited YNP in spring of 2018. He suggested a quick trip to YNP so we both headed out there in the end of October for 7 days. We also met with our friends Paulie and Barb, who had been very kind and gracious during our last visit.
David was checking the weather in Gardiner and Lamar valley on a daily basis during the week prior to our departure and sent me regular updates. The day we landed in Bozeman the temps were in single digit in YNP and snowfall in the days prior to our arrival there. Most of the snow was gone by the time we left ( high temp - 52 degrees) so we got to see both ends of the spectrum
Top of wish list was wolf pictures from decent distance and those of ermines or weasels. We did get to see the wolves and one black weasel, but alas, no pictures to speak of. What we got was a lot of coyotes, bison, some foxes, big horns, elks, moose and occasional bald eagles. The entire day from pre sunup to sundown was devoted to driving back and forth looking for wildlife.
I was able to see many of the hunts for voles by coyotes and foxes.
My effort here is to present the wildlife in is different forms and in different environments and some landscapes. Hope you like it. C&C is welcome.
