Fall Shots - First Winter Storm Really - Grizzly - Kananaskis

Today, I returned to Kananaskis to get fall shots with snow in the coloured leaves. But the visibility was zero at Wedge Pond.

So I drove up the Highwood pass, and as I almost got to the top, I saw 3 big animals coming down the road. At first I wondered whether some cows had got loose, but then I realized it was moms grizzly and her cubs. Obviously she was bringing them down from the past to look for food away from the snow.

She insisted on walking on the road for about 5-8 km. And so I followed to fish my lights in case a car came but no cars came. It was just me escorting the grizzly.

Here are my best shots from a very wintery fall trip.
