Got out yesterday in windy overcast conditions. Got some gulls and sanderlings. At lower ISOs this thing is fantastic. When you start pushing above 800 its seeming more and more like its not offering any advantage over the a9. When things line up right though its great. Autofocus is good, but again the a9 still woops it, especially for initial lock on with my 200-600, as well as keeper rate on moving targets.
For well lit macro I think this thing is going to great btw. (I didn't get the DOF quite right, its too far back starting at the eyes rather than the face, but he was a fidgety guy so oh well.
