My intention was mostly to capture inflight shots, which I did but I got the opportunity to capture this burrowing owl that just captured a green June bug and it landed some 15-16 feet or from my position. These are pretty much frame filling images and the DOF is shallow but what can I say and what's the chance of this happening again? The landing spot is actually a man made structure and I moved further back after this, giving the owl another opportunity to land again there and it did.
