I was there on Manhattan side this morning. Doesn't matter the NJ side of NY side, the jets flew so high that there was not a chance to include the skyline in the backdrop, unless you used a wide angle lens, then the jets would look like little dots in the picture. For me the "new" stuff was the 2 F-22s and the 2 F-35s following the Red Arrows in a formation. The BA didn't participate, the TB flew quite some distance ahead of the Red Arrows and the stealth jets. When the they turned around to fly back north, the 4 stealth fighters flew in a formation away from the Red Arrow. It was kind of cool to see 2 F-22s and 2 F-35s in a formation. For me, overall, it wasn't really as spectacular as I expected because they were flying so high. I bet the view in the air must be quite different. I saw dramatic sunset last nigh and sunrise this morning over Manhattan though.
