I didn't read all the comments, but here is my feedback as a portrait photographer.

1.) It bugs me when both eyes are not in focused -- and, believe me, I've had to learn the hard way. With close-up head-shots, I almost never go below 2.8 aperture and, more likely, 4.0. You can still get great bokeh behind if positioned from the background well. The composition is fine, but the large white spot can bug people, too (I do that myself at times, but usually when I want the sun in my pic.) It is a bit dark and flat for light, but workable.

2.) I do see blown white parts on this one (my screen is calibrated,) but should be an easy fix. This is more candid than I usually take, so I don't have a lot of feedback on the composition but not crazy about the fist toward the camera. But it does tell a story of some buddies playing, having a good time. Sweaty, tired, affectionate, happy. As a B&W conversion, it's pretty good.

3.) And now I see you fixed it -- good job!
