Doug, well said. Now you're finding out why so many of us choose to shot with these old beauties!
I have had several Fuji lenses to use with my X-T2, but in the end, I got rid of all but one in favor of Nikkor MF. I remember when the Sigma 35mm f1.4 ART glass came out and it was all the thing. I bought that to use with my D600 and sent it back the next week because it was WAY to "clinical", just like you said.
