Just one this time! My little Sylvie, strong and beautiful. She turned 3 in April. This was taken using window light from my girls' bedroom's north facing window.
Sylvie was born with a rare congenital heart condition called total anomalous pulmonary venous return (TAPVR). She had open heart surgery at just 3 months old to rewire her pulmonary veins to the left atrium, where they should have been to begin with, as well as close an atrial septal defect. Had she been born 60+ years ago, she'd not have made it. I'm so thankful she was born in this generation and not my parent's or grandparent's. She's doing so well now! She's a ball of energy and so, so smart. I don't know what I'd do without her!
