I visited the Volandia Museum, close to the Milano Malpensa airport. They have been working closely with AgustaWestland with interesting results.

Agusta started building helicopters under Bell license, then it tried to launch original projects, but it took almost a decade before the A109 became their first original, successful design.

Before the A109 there many failed attempts and now Volandia is trying to bring back to life some prototypes from the sixties. The Agusta A104 was already carefully restored:
