That’s not a hood, if you’re referencing the pic he posted.

Thanks - this is useful. Biggish but not bad at all.
But whoever took it was trying too hard to make a point or not thinking. Put the lens hood on the 100-400 and zoom to 300 or 400 and the difference in length is presumably not going to be much (still a lighter lens much easier to pack though). That is the unreversed hood on the 200-600, right?
