Had the fortune to be able to get unclose with this dragon fly. 90mm with the 2 extension tubes, natural light. 3 shot manual stack.

My guess is one of those little “soft boxes” that you can attach directly to the flash. The reflection of it is quite visible in the first pic here:

Nice shot Birdie, how do you get that magnification? Extension tubes, diopter or crop?
Thank you. I used 10mm and 16mm Kenko extension tubes.
