So the image shows this lens is a "G", not "GM". Not that it really matters to me. I think this lens is really targeting the amateur wildlife/airshow crowds. By looking at the popularity of the Nikon 200-500, and the 150-600 from Sigma and Tamron, Sony probably knows it could sell a couple hundred of this lens for every 500 f/4 or 600 f/4 they will sell. I am guessing it will be priced around $2500 in the U.S.
