That is, until the new breed of Z primes make this look like a zoom lens again.
One caveat to watch for though ... with the extremely close flange distance, the resolving power of those new breed Z primes to come may be prone to bring back our old friend moire' (which I guess might be why the Z6 has an AA filter, Z7 none).
