I like how Sigma 40mm renders, but I'll need to shoot more to get good feeling is 40mm FOV ok or is it too wide for normal lens.
For me it's also important factor how it works together with other lenses. I love the shooting experience with combination of 28-50-135, my work with this combo is effortless and everything just works. Somehow I feel that 28-40-135 has too big gap between normal and tele lens. Maybe 40mm is better used with 28-40-85 combo or together with 100-300mm zoom; 28-40-100-300. Hard to say without actually shooting more with the lens on different combinations.
If 7Artisans's new 75mm f/1.2 is good lens, then combination of 28-40-75 looks really good (on simulation...). 7Artisans 28mm & 75mm are small lenses then combined with gigantic Sigma 40mm back in the days normal lenses used to smallest...
