I went to the MAPS Air Museum in Akron, Ohio a few days ago. It's not a large museum, but has a very nice mixture of aircraft from this glider to an EA-6B that was on active duty just last year. They also have very good exhibits focusing on those people from the area who served in the military from the civil war until today. They are actively expanding their facilities and are restoring a few aircraft in house. Highly recommended.
This is the one and only Martin Glider, built by William Martin of Akron, OH in 1908. It was launched by one horsepower, literally, as a running horse was used fly it to 25 feet high for 200 feet. Mrs Martin became the first woman pilot by flying the glider next.
