Most of my shooting is done without a tripod. For me, the issue with the Contax 100-300, apart from the issue of not getting haze or separation, is that the lens does not communicate with the camera, thus requiring inputting the focal length. And of course the focal length is variable. So getting IBIS is not really practicable, and without a tripod, the lack of IBIS diminishes the finished optical quality of the shot.
