Hummingbirds of South America and the odd Toucan here and there.
I’m always amazed at the diversity of wildlife in Ecuador. While the US has about 12 species of hummingbirds, Ecuador exceeds 120 species and many with unique characteristics. Not to mention all the toucans and colorful tanagers make it an action-packed place to photograph.
Last year, I went a couple days early before my workshops to scout out a few more locations and shoot for myself and try some new ideas on my multi-flash setup and pick up a couple of species I had not photographed before like the Giant Hummingbird. Some images are from the setup, and some are not as I enjoy shooting both techniques.
CC Always welcome!
