Yep, kind of amazing.
There are older airplanes flying...but the even surviving 4 engine birds from before 1940 are rather rare.
The Air Force Museum only has the B-17D "Swoose", and that one is 'newer' by serial number than Diamond Lil 40-2366 vs Swoose at 40-3097
The Air and Space folks don't have a 4 engine bird older.
Not sure what's in European museums that might be older...but not flying.
