Re: Sony FE Images Thread

When I was in New York City a couple of weeks ago I brought my new 24mm f/1.4 GM and Batis 40mm f/2 lenses with me for some additional testing. I threw the 15CV and Batis 85 into the bag just in case. Well I wasn’t far from Central Park and decided to see if the Mandaran Duck that showed up in October was still hanging around. I really wanted to bring my 100-400 GM +1.4x teleconverter but didn’t want to carry the additional weight. Much to my surprise I went to the Park and sure enough the Mandaran Duck was in fact there and about 75 people were lined up waiting to see it swim around. I used the Batis 85 and set my A7R3 to crop mode for an effective focal length of 127.5mm. Fortunately the duck was not too far from the edge of the pond but some major cropping was necessary

I would normally try to lay down on the ground for a nice birds eye view and a nice blurred out back ground but with all the spectators crowding the pond’s banks there really was no room to accommodate that shot. Oh well sometimes just getting to see the natural beauty is enough!
