Michael -- Thanks for your kind words.
I love the Sony 24-105G (just as you do!), but the Canon is slightly sharper and more striking on the micro-contrast and color. And a stop faster. Certainly the imaging is equal to the 24-70GM from my experience. Nice to have options, with the Sony cameras making such a great platform!
