If you cut out a 1000px wide pice from the Z7 it covers roughly 1/8 of the width of the Z7 sensor (landscape) but 1/6 of the M240 sensor so the M240 crop covers a larger part of the full image and hence the Z7 crop looks more magnified since you see a smaller part at the same size.
