Went shooting in the National Park near my home this afternoon and luckily there was a family of King Parrots, a male, a female and a couple of juveniles, feeding on seed pods on a tree.
Sharpness was not an issue, but moire was. These feathers are so iridescent that it is really difficult to photograph and keep moire under control.

G'day Lance! It's good to be back in Oz and like many on this forum, I've been anxiously eyeing the Z series cameras (and the 500mm PF lens) to complement my birding kit. Currently, I like the files from my D750 more than my D800, so have been contemplating the Z6 (once it's here in Oz). I've been hoping the new kit will outperform what I currently use (it better, or I'll be very disappointed), so I went through my King Parrot files on LR to see how they compare with the Z7 / 500 PF combo. I've included an image below for comparison, and I'm having trouble justifying the huge cash outlay for the Z6/FTZ/500mm PF as I really can't see a huge improvement in detail / colour rendition or bokeh. I realize the files uploaded to FM may not truly represent what you captured, so I'd like to know if you see a significant difference in the files you capture with your DSLR when compared with the Z7.
