Long ago something a well known motivational mentor said has stuck with me, "Successful people make a habit of doing tings they do not want to do...." . I've found that to be an invaluable mantra. Yesterday began at 6 am, after a day that ended around 1am. The day began with some surface shooting, then several hours in a helicopter, followed by more surface shooting. When early evening rolled around I was worn pretty slick and had a pretty good case of give up. I dropped by home to download and back up all the day's files and the longer I sat by my Mac with my feet up, the more I intended to stay in that configuration. About 30 minutes before dusk I noticed that there were some beautiful Cirrus clouds drifting in from the west, ugh! I tried to ignore them for about 15 minutes but the thought of what those might look like as a backdrop for a project I've bee working on all week just wouldn't leave me alone...........the afore mentioned quote ran through my head and off I went. Every time I have adhered to that principle over that past 40 years I have been rewarded for doing so, last evening was no exception....................
