Considered by some to be one of most isolated lighthouse on Lake Superior, aside from those built on remote islands. The Crisp Point Lighthouse is 20 miles from the nearest paved road, but is staffed half the year with volunteer keepers. I picked a poor day to travel there, the winds were at 50 mph, the waves on Lake Superior were up to nearly 10 ft (3metres) with blowing snow and sleet. And the "road" was 20 miles of logging road, but I am happy with the results. Taken on the 7r2 and the Loxia 50mm
