We need more people share their user review here. I don't want be the pusher.

After another out, I am totally feel Nikon strike a well balance act here that I am willing to take the trade off to use it and totally enjoy to do so. Potentially, this almost reach to the point to replace my D850. obviously long exposure will not as good and multiply exposure will not have DR advantage due to banding. I am waiting for silent shutter implementation myself to make final decision. if there is no bit penalty, I think Z7 will be in good shape.

Keep in mind, I personally don't really need fancy AF tracking, Z7 meet all my need and above. and I don't do bird or running animal photography. This is the first MILC I feel enjoy to use not only for size but also the experience. (inaditional to Leica M) I definitely need some cool-aid and need more real world opinions from others, especially those having latest MILC camera experience to qualify.

Now I use Fn1 for AF setting, Fn2 for format. I put Non-CPU lens selection on ''my manual' now, as I feel I only change that each time I change lens. movie button for bring up 'my manual'. I can tolerate one more push delay during changing lens. but format selection in field on fly is so handy. I chose 4X5 most time for family portrait and if you choose DX, 24-70 instantly become a 24-105 with Z7's 45M sensor, and 70mm slightly weaker corner at f4 problem is gone. I have to say performance of 24-70S significantly alter my view on Z7.

I expect this will be my major travel setup for the near future. 24-70g must go now. This is the first time, I feel I have a interchangable lens system beat RX1 in term of sharpness at this focal. (sure consider 45M)

BTW, I have to say i have no loyalty on MILC, if panasonic have similar zoom lens as 24-70S, offer even better viewing and ergonomics and take M and S, SL glass, I might just leave Nikon. Interesting timing. I won't care its CDAF only. I dont care speed 98% of my usage. So please no spec contest

24-70 at 45mm f13 for DOF coverage

100% crop

at 70mm ISO640 shot in 4X5 mode

100% crop

Edit, I will make smaller crop once at home. Sorry for the size.
