But recall that Fuji was surprised by the worldwide sensation it created with the original X100 and pivoted into being a full-line cameramaker; so anything can happen. We'll have to wait and see with open minds.
Well, actually Leica started the trend towards high quality compacts with a larger sensor (APS-C and later also full frame) and a 28mm or 35mm prime lens with the X.
And the Fujifilm X100 was and is a beautiful little product thats easily recognizeable as something made for photographers, because it is very functional with useful gimmicks that make the camera only even more enjoyable to us, such as the OVF option, or the wonderful leaf shutter, allowing up to 1/4000 sec flash sync at f/5.6 and above, or 1/2000 sec wide open, or the ND filter.
This camera really isnt. I wish Zeiss no evil, but if this product is a success, I'll be very baffled. To me its obvious this is a lifestyle product for rich snobs, not a practical product for photographers.
