I came across information about this old, rural church by accident. It is one of the few preserved late-Romanesque buildings in the whole region. It was raised in the second half of the 13th century. It is unique for two reasons. First, because of the two original, ascetic, early-gothic portals the second because inside there are the fourteenth century frescoes, designed to show the mostly illiterate people of that time, scenes from the bible - "biblia pauperum." The church, now unused and closed is placed in a small village among the mountains. Its walls, eroded and weakened, the cemetery and the surrounding area breathe unshakable peace. I could not get inside, but still there, I immersed myself in the past from over seven hundred and fifty years. The narrow and low gates of the gothic portals opened in front of me and those who lived there slowly began to come out.
