That is about all we heard for two hours of shooting these Barred Owls in the dark forest around a small river yesterday evening. They have young in the area but we didn't see them last night although others saw them that afternoon and the day before. The parents are very active in the evenings and I believe there was more than two adults present as there was a lot of flying around and calling out....
