If I recall, she didn't have a tattoo on the other arm but switching her to face the other way was not as pleasing aesthetically to me, as the way it stands, she's facing towards the sun.
That being said, I totally agree that it detracts a bit from an otherwise pure image. And I say this having a tattoo myself
