You can say that about any lens. I don't see where the 85GM fits - you can crop the 50ZA, I don't see where the 50ZA fits, you can just crop the 35ZA etc. etc.

100 STF is totally different, firstly it gives you a completely different look to the OOFs and OOF highlights, which not everybody likes, and secondly the 105/1.4 is going to be much better in low light.
At the end of the day it's just a faster version of the many 100/2 and 105/2 lenses that already exist. Where this fits is a lens that gives slightly more reach than your typical 85/1.4, but is more usable indoors than a 135mm. I expect this to be very popular with wedding photographers.
