I took my two grandsons to the Coolidge Municipal Airport (P08) at zero-dark-30 Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised to find that German Special Operations Soldiers (KSK) were training in the pre-dawn light. A much needed rain shower had just moved through the area and the "clean" air was a refreshing respite from the normal winter smog we often get in central AZ. The KSK folks had two Skyvans working overtime and their pilots made some nifty approaches to pick-up the next load of operators. I shot this with my newly acquired Sony a6500 with the Zeiss Vario‑Tessar T* E 16‑70mm F4 ZA OSS lens. While I purchased this rig as my "conceal-carry" grandkids camera, it does a more than acceptable job on non-grandkid compositions
IAR has a facility at P08. Here are a couple of the C-130 cadavers they have in their yard. My grandsons want me to purchase one as playground equipment for my backyard
