Thank you Mike for your work on this - it was fabulous service for everyone in the community - and a wake up for Sony to get their QC act together - knowing the the community will work together to advertise and document their problems if they don't.
Fortunately my 24-105 was one of the good ones but Ive always felt that buying Sony gear was too much of a crap shoot at times. Given that otherwise I love their equipment I am hoping Sony becomes a much more reliable manufacturer - and an easier company to deal with when you have issues.
