5L owner hear. I can not compare it to the -0L as I use Lowepro bags when I want to bring more gear but I grabbed the 5L a few weeks ago for OP exact reason. Lately I found myself not grabbing my camera bag when I want to just bring my camera with one lens attached and maybe one extra because I didn’t want to lug my whole bag.
The 5L so far is great. It has structural rigidity, is compact and will fit camera with one lens and a few accessories or camera with one Two lenses if they are smaller lenses. When I have my 50 1.4 on I am hard pressed to fit another lens unless it is one of my CV’s or Loxia. Always extra room for a few batteries and as cards also. Great product but a little pricey.
