I'm still waiting for Adobe to come up with the a7riii support, but I managed to shoot some foliage type shots with mine over the weekend. It wasn't a particularly challenging scenario, as it's sunny, but so far I like what I see: the AF with the 55 1.8 was definitely more responsive, locked on faster and while I don't have my a7rii anymore, I think the shutter sounds more damped. The button responsive is also improved, I think. Being able to "lock" pictures with c3 in default is nice. I like that feature on my D500 quite a bit.
The real test for this cam will be how well it can track BIF with the 100-400 GM. Not sure when I'll be able to check that, though.
