One of the best parts of Aviation is the people you meet along the way. Real characters doing real, larger than life things.
And the best part of the day in Conroe was getting to sit around and talk with a warbird aviation legend, Mr Connie Edwards.
What a hoot this guy is. He was one of the original CAF founders, the chief pilot on the Battle of Britain movie, flew an A-26 for 'the company' training some sort of Cuban pilots, warbird collector and pilot extraordinaire, west Texas rancher and oil ma, and all around colorful human being.
