I was at the burrowing owl site in the afternoon, hoping for capturing owl activities in a more pleasing lighting. It turned out to be a complete failure. The owls just hung around without doing much of anything. It was windy, too. So, they protected themselves behind some rocks near their burrows. On the way back home, I saw an owl and the sun was about to set. I pulled over and got my gear out but the owl disappeared into its burrow. Rats! Then I saw the sunset, and I ended up taking pictures of some bushes silhouetted against it.
Then the owl came out again while there and I did take some images of the owl with the sun setting. I need to work on them. But I will go ahead post this one first...
