This is a sequential set I took using a loaner FE 100-400mm GM lens courtesy of Sony. Sorry, I posted the first image previously in this thread already but I thought the sequence would not be complete with it, so, here it is again. I also cross posted this in another thread.
Wonderful flight shots of such a beautiful creature!!!
You are very kind, Robert and thank you!

While looking for images taken with the GM 70-200mm lens for another FMer, I came across this one that I have not posted from an earlier portrait session. This is a significant crop of the original, which was actually a vertical format. Just for kicks, here it is.
Outstanding shot. Joshua!
Thank you, Nadim! Hey, that's a great semi macro shot of the eye !

Where do you find all these wonderful models
From my private stash , just kidding.
Basically, there are organizers for all kind of photography here in the LA/Orange County area but not all of them are good. I happen to know a few that I like. They arrange everything from selecting/hiring models, make-up artists, renting wardrobes, selecting and renting venues for the shooting. You just show up and you shoot. Of course, the photographers bear the expenses and reimburse the organizer. The price is somewhere between $30 to $100 or so for 3-4 hours of shooting. If you want to keep busy, you can do this every weekend both Saturdays and Sundays but like I said, I pick and choose. So far there are only two organizers I really like. They are both in Orange County although the shooting location varies. I do it once in two months or so, depending on my schedule. I can give you more info if you are interested since I know you are local.

Back to the burrowing owls - from my previous posts, you could see that some of them did not get along with each other and showed some kind of aggression. But I also witnessed a couple, I assume a male and female that showed quite a bit of affection for each other. Check them out below.
FYI, the lens used is Canon 100-400mm Mark II, which is optically is superb on Metabones V but the Sony FE counterpart leaves this lens behind in the dust AF-wise. In this semi-stationary situation, the lens performed splendidly.
The owl couple was a little bit further in the field. And I didn't want to disturb their peace and their habitat area. So, I set up the gear further away at the edge of the field and ended up cropping the images more than the ones where two owls were fighting.
