This was another of the gorgeous ranges of very high mountains (I don't know the exact height or names of this particular range of mountains but certainly over 6,000m (20,000ft) on the route to Renjo La (pass) which itself is very close to 5,500m (18,000 ft) and is one of the three 'high passes' to be found in the Everest region.
We still have maybe 3-4 hours trekking from here, at temps around -15C to -20C, to climb the remaining 500m or so altitude gain to the top of the Renjo Pass ...... and then from there a few hours descent to our sleeping quarters. Luckily it was perfect timing as the next day the pass was snowed in !
This shot was taken with a Sony A7rii and a Voigtlander Ultron 35/1.7.
If you have a spare minute or two maybe check out my IG gallery (thedragonsfather) for photography of China, Myanmar, Iceland, Nepal etc. Thanks ! Kevin
A)
A couple more shots :
B) This is a view (very welcome after a 10 hour trek !) of Namche Bazaar (by far the largest town/village in the Everest region of Nepal - it has a couple of great bars and a wonderful coffee house where you can sup all the excellent coffee and destroy all the brownies you've been missing, whilst recharging all your batteries), approaching from the direction of the Thame Valley. A7rii and Voigtlander 35/1.7ii
C) A view from a low peak looking back towards Namche, at sunrise. Just loved the cloud is all A7rii and Batis 85/1.8
