I'm sure the print from the B&W 4X5 negative is spectacular. No conversion. A scan.
Lots of DR to play with so if ya like lots of shadow detail it's there and if not theres always a grade 4 paper and you can let the shadows go black. 80kb compressed jpgs is really no way to judge DR. The print is a completely different beast so I'm sure this will make a wonderful full range print.
