I think the issue is as simple as words "good enough". Why does Canon have to push limits if sale numbers of original 6D are very high and people buy the new model anyway?
5D II was blamed for so-so censor IQ - Canon solved.
6D was blamed for so-so AF module - Canon solved.
No one asked for better censor IQ in 6D (our naïve expectations are not taken into account)
