Thank you, Gregg! Yes, but there are oak trees in SoCal as well but somehow the oak trees I encountered are older and larger. In addition, the climate there is way more humid than our desert like climate. In the last few days there, the humidity level was in the 90's. The high humidity level facilitates fern and moss growth on the trunk and large branches. And photogenic Spanish moss flourishes there.
Those B&W images are awesome, Gregg! Hmmm, Contax 100-300mm, huh? More power to you and the rose image is just wonderful!
