Re: Manual Focus Nikon Glass

Just got back from doing shots for the IronKids event in town. Only 2 hours. The big one the IronMan is tomorrow - 7.30am until 12.40am

Kristian

Here's my take -

20mm 1.8 AF
28/2.8
50/1.4 plus 105/2.5 OR 50-135

A shame you don't have something like 180ED or 200/4. For candids of locals / holy men in the temples etc.

The 80-200/2.8 is too heavy (I should know I've just been shooting one 1200 shots in 2 hours and 17 hours tomorrow. Even on a monopod it's hard work)

I took to Bali -

2 bodies - D800 & D7K
16/2.8 fishy
14/2.8 Rokinon
20UD
28/2 NC
55/3.5 micro
85/1.4
180/2.8 ED

but honestly I'd take just the 20UD or 28/2NC, sigma 105 macro and 180 (+TC) next time.

Also, bear in mind our kids are grown up so no distractions ! You never get that time back so spend your time with them, Bali will always be there.
